Yesterday an Air Algerie plane crashed in Mali, killing all 116 on board. According to reports, the Algerian bound flight couldn't proceed because of the horrible weather,the pilot was forced to turn around and lost contact shortly after. The first images from the wreckage have emerged and no one survived as the plane burst into flames on impact.
Ten members of a single French family were also killed in the disaster.They were on 'the trip of a lifetime and had travelled to Burkina Faso because a relative had married a Burkinabe.
110 passengers and six crew were on board. According to the breakdown, 8Lebanese, 51 French, 27 Burkina Faso nationals, 6 Algerians, 5 Canadians, 4 Germans,2 Luxemburg nationals, one Swiss, 1 Belgian, one Egyptian, one Ukrainian, 1 Nigerian, 1 Cameroonian and one Malian.
Just so many lives lost via air crashes in the space of one week...RIP to the departed
