Skye Bank Plc has sacked about 50 members of staff,months after retrenching 200.
According to reports most of those affected were auxiliary staff like tellers, drivers and internal security guard and the reasons for their exit ranged from non-performance, disciplinary issues as well as rightsizing by the lender.
The management of the bank also approved payment of the entitlement and severance packages to those affected .Skye Bank said in a statement last night...
” The bank thanked the affected staff and expressed its appreciation for their work while in the employment of the organisation,”
“Part of the mandate of Skye Bank’s re-constituted board is to run a lean and efficient organisation; control cost; aggressively recover debts owed by debtors and grow deposit liabilities and shore the liquidity position of the bank,” it added.
