Prince Eke's Open Letter to Buhari

My letter to BUHARI,

Sir ,let us examine your service records. I consider your generation a very privileged one, indeed. In 1975 at d age of 33, you were appointed d Military Governor of d North-Eastern State, present day Borno & Yobe states. In 1976 at d age of 34 you became d Minister 4 Petroleum and Natural Resources. In 1978 at d age of 36 you became d Chairman of d Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). Today d reverse is d case. Most Nigerians at age of 35 are still unemployed and still living with parents.

Many are still not married. During your time you were already Governor at this age.One major reason for this unfortunate turn of events is that many elders like you have refused 2 voluntarily handover d baton 2 d next generation. Life should be a relay race where one runs his race and hands over 2 d next. In Nigeria many elders like you have run their races and are still holding on tenaciously 2 d baton. But Sir, I have an important question here 4 you.

The question is simple, MUST YOU SERVE NIGERIA AS A PRESIDENT ONLY? IS THERE NO OTHER CAPACITY YOU CAN SERVE US EXCEPT D PRESIDENCY? It is very erroneous 2 imagine that you can only serve Nigeria only in one capacity. During d regime of late General Sani Abacha, you accepted d appointment 2 serve as d Chairman of d then Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF). D general opinion was that you served faithfully in this capacity. Well done Sir! But you never asked Abacha 2 vacate office 4 you as your former subordinate in d army. Never! In fact that would have been a dangerous move, if not suicidal. Rather you served faithfully under your former junior in d army. Sir, imagine if you take on another job like d Chairman of EFCC or ICPC or NDLEA. Nigerians actually need you 2 serve in one of these capacities much more than they need you in d Presidency. Mere mentioning your name as Chairman of EFCC would drive many corrupt men underground. But you wouldn’t . Either d Presidency or nothing. When are you going 2 handover 2 d next person? It is either you do it voluntarily or risk disgrace at d polls. God bless you sir.."

  7. Ribadu was also perceived to be a corrupt free man and what happened in his tenure as the EFCC chairman. EFCC we all know is not as independent as they shld be. They still take orders from the presidency. That is why the likes of FFK, Diezani,Stella Oduah, etc are still freely roaming about. So Prince Eke, ur point holds no water. We know GEJ has bought over most of nollywood actors and actresses. On d D day, do what u have to do and do no disturb our peace.

    1. You didn't have to insult him for airing his view and if you noticed, he didn't speak for Jonathan so he isn't campaigning for him. For once be objective, who knows you may understand his line of reasoning.

  15. Look inwards prince to see the good GMB has to offer,he is a happy grandfather with well to do family. All he wants to do is liberate your likes and restore the glory of the nation. He can never beg to eat ,but a thousand and one Nigerians are begging to eat due to the collapsed economy of the country.Jonathan has tried his best possible which doesn't seem to be enough for Nigeria.Lets give someone else a trial.

  22. How can a grown up man write this type of disgraceful Open Letter to Buhari....He should know how to write a formal and informal letter. How can he be using 2, 4, and d instead of to, for and the. My point is we should know when to abbreviate and when not to.

  23. Well said, very articulate. BUHARI is extremely selfish, he does not like Nigeria. I bet if he wins Nigeria physically and spiritually will go down. His aura is not good.

  25. Nice write up I agree but if you read in between the lines you will find a bias intention of the writer in this upcoming election.Do potential candidates are competing for an election and you are giving presidence on a former leading that was famous for running a lawful regime, in which discipline and morality was the watchword and our economy was vibrant including agricultural production. In comparison to an administration where dollar is at a record high . Power supply has drop drastically, insecurity particularly in the state governed by the presidents party . Please youth of today to let us be brainwashed by this people who pay all this artist or so called celebrities to dwindle your minds.we have more unemployed youths than this so called...buharis era.An option where the government of the day has crippled our economy with no direction or no means of solving it.where a cabin is filled with failures than compared with a age man that is known for his disciplines and zero tolerance for coruption with a cabinet to be filled with young and tested individuals like for instance the present governor .....not mention others. An administration where we would see true and effective distribution of authority. My fellow youth let's asked ourselves this question a man with no idea of running a nation, also known for not been able to guide and caution his wife or An aged man with experience, principles with a powerful think tank of youths at his disposal who would be the cardinal of running his administration, which is better even though If it's not the best....
A present failure or hopeful change?
That iswhat we have to decide come February 14
