Why we cancelled US training for Nigerian Soldiers- FG

Earlier this week, the US released a statement expressing shock that the Nigerian Government had stopped them from training Nigerian soldiers to help in the fight against Boko Haram.

The coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mr. Mike Omeri, told journalists  it was cancelled because  the US relied on Nigerian equipment which is currently in use in troubled states in the North east. He said
“The training that is being mentioned were supposed to be in three phases, two phases have been concluded, the next phase requires some logistical components and I don’t think it’s wise to take equipment from the field and keep them in Jaji for training when our soldiers are out there needing the equipment.(continue)
“The training that is being offered by the American Government did not also come with the equipment component, so if our soldiers need the same equipment, and you all know the status of our stock, we will not withdraw everything and go for training when we have need for it on the field,” he explained.

    1. US Government has been an enemy of this government since GEJ signed in Gay Law. You don't impose your belief and ideas on others. That is one thing Americans need to learn. Again, Nigerians needed to buy Cobra Helicopter from USA to fight Insurgents and Americans refused. We are wiser than the term "Africans". We aren't that dummies. You pose as friend but whereas you are back of spying shits. I can see Americans aiding Nigerians. We are the youths, we shall stand and fight against corruption, terrorism and uplift this country.

  5. What a disgrace. No equipment to train? So if something happens in the south now, there are no attileries here because it's all in the north? I'm sure US discovered something and to stop them from seeing all the secrets, they cancelled the training

  11. Are american drones still flying in nigerian airspace? Why cant their drones stop the several attack and bombings being carryout by bokoharam? Why cant their drones track the hideout of several hilux van use by bokoharam to strike villages in the north if they truely want to help nigeria fight terrorism. They supply arms to rebels in other country to fight against their govt, but they sell arms to our military to tackle terrorism.Or are they backing the terrorists?
