How Soldier & Police Inspector murdered WHO staff over N2.8m

The decomposed body of a staff of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Zamfara State office, Bello Abdullahi Kaura, who was allegedly killed by a soldier and a police Inspector about three months ago, has been discovered.

Impeccable source at the WHO office, who pleaded for anonymity, told the Nigerian Tribune, that the deceased was murdered after he was dispossesed of N2.8 million which was meant to cover the expenses of the July immunisation exercise in Anka Local Government Area of the state.

Source said that when the deceased collected the money, he brought the money home and informed his co-tenants (the soldier and a police inspector) about it.

Findings revealed that the next day, which was the day of the immunisation exercise, the deceased failed to report at his duty post, unknown to his colleagues, he was cajoled by his killers to an unknown destination.

Findings by the Nigerian Tribune revealed that the deceased was taken to a bush along Anka-Gummi Road by his murderers where he was killed. His car was stolen and sold for N800,000, while his cell phone, was sold for N3,000, to a teenager in Anka town.

However, nemesis caught up with the alleged murderers, when one of the relations of the deceased discovered that someone was still using the cell phone of the deceased through the anti-theft device, which the deceased had programmed with his number.

Security operatives were then alerted and subsequently, the user of the phone, the soldier and the police officer, were all apprehended.

In the cause of investigation, the embattled soldier and the police took the security operatives to the scene of the incident and the decomposed body of the deceased was discovered.

When contacted, the Commanding Officer of the 232 Battalion, Gusau Lieutenant Colonel U.B. Onachukwu, confirmed the incident but he added that investigation is still ongoing by combined security operatives of the police, State Security and the military.

  13. I dont know who are the prime suspects between policemen and armed robbers.Policemen and sas will arrest armed robbers and display the guns and bullets they uses in their robbery operation. But they dont always displays the exhibit they seize from them.I have listen to some guyz who said they were raided by the police in a crime scene, some of them got their phones and money seized by the police and never returned back to them.
