24 hours after Ceasefire ,Boko Haram Kills scores in Borno

On Friday, the Nigerian government announced that it entered into a cease-fire deal with Boko Haram .Less than 24 hours after the announcement, the terrorist group attacked two communities in Borno State.

According to the military source who spoke to Punch, about 20 Boko Haram fighters in two pick-up vans stormed Maikadiri in Abadam Local Government Area, on Friday evening, shooting into homes.

A member of the local vigilance group, Adam Kolo, said the sect had shown that there was no ceasefire with the latest attack. He stated that the insurgents killed the father of the former Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly, Goni Ali-Modu.

Another indigene of the attacked communities, Masta Ibrahim, said in Maiduguri that,
“My parents are there and my brother called from Monguno to inform me early this morning but we couldn’t get across to our aged parents.”
Also in a renewed attack on Shaffa, Hawul Local Government Area, south of Borno on Saturday morning, scores of Boko Haram insurgents rode to a village near the town in the early hours of the day, shooting indiscriminately.Eight people were killed, according to a resident, Elijah Msheliza.
“There was pandemonium in Shaffa as Boko Haram invaded the nearby village, shooting at everybody at sight. We had to flee into the bush and, as I am talking to you, many of us are taking refuge in the bush.”

    2. From what I heard on news which could be totally true,so other groups carry out crimes under the "bokoharam " umbrella. What if someone somewhere isn't happy bout d ceasefire? Has bokoharam accepted responsibility?

If we count the numbers of bokoharam that nigerian army and cameroon troops claims to have killed,it has gulp a million.Dont they get finished?Where do this terrorists group parks their pickup and armoured vehicle that they cannot be trace? It is pathetic that nigerian army that boast of the best ground troops cannot defeat common bokoharam.

  14. Boko Haram sect, I am sure, are yet to tell us their terms. I am shocked to hear that they attack people after twenty-four hour of cease fire. Federal government should investigate this matter.

  15. I said it few days ago that time will tell if there is indeed a ceasefire. The Government is also making a big
and grave mistake trying to negotiate with animals. No one does that. You simply do not negotiate with
terrorists! Kill them all cause they wont spare you if you are in their shoes. These head-hunters have no souls. They are the epitome of evil and until they are eliminated from the face of the earth it's only going to get worse.
