Peter Okoye thinks speaking good English isn't important.

Peter Okoye has made it clear than speaking good English has nothing to do with making money. Apparently upset by insinuations that he doesn't speak "queens English",he replied via twitter

Wow!1 don't know If this is right. Isn't he supposed to be encouraging youths to speak well

  5. He's a Nigerian not an English man, of course he won't have perfect or the best diction in english. German's, Chinese, Spanish, brazilians all speak with their accents, why not our own Igbo brother with his strong Igbo Nigerian accent? I met them they didn't sound that bad to me. They both sort of have this Igbo/hausa way of communicating. As they were saying 'ba' a lot like hausa people say. They are both hard workers and great entertainer people should acknowledge that and leave their english. If u want good english they should listen to bbc UK.
Emeh u know I love u but on this will have to disagree. How will Peter encouraging young people to speak better english better the lives of our youth? And Yes I know how people with good english gets the best Jobs here in Nigeria but let me tell u some of the most successful Nigerian exports are once who still have their Nigerian accent. Ngozi Iweala, the Newly appointed illinos VC is an Ondo man, and trust me he still has his Yoruba accent. Americans, british all come to Nigeria to learn our language. We should encourage our Youths to appreciate their own. P'square to me are role models been that they went to School got a degree and still followed their dream and paSsion. Look at them today, they are very successful. Sorry abt the eSsay.lol

  6. Thanks so much Miss Bee ! You ve said it all . What's all this about Igbo accent ? If there's anything like that , then I think I prefer it more than any other "tribal accent ". As much as I know , Peter speaks very well just like average non fake Nigerian out there ! Emeh dear , is English language our language ? Most countries all over the world speak with some kinda accent , so what's the big deal ? Must we form British n American accent for you to know we speak good english ? Still luv you Emeh , but pls leave my brother alone !!!
