LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have split, claims a new report. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have separated, the break-up being a mutual decision, claims In Touch Magazine. With only a two sentence reportpublished today, In Touch claims that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have mutually decided to separate after thirteen years of marriage. The couple are parents of Jaden Smith (Karate Kid) and Willow Smith (“Whip My Hair”). The report does not indicate if the couple were sought for comment. No family member has yet to comment about the report.
The latest In Touch story about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett follows a series of unconfirmed reports about the couple’s marriage and education for their children in recent months. The In Touch report indicates that a longer version of the report will hit newsstands this week.
Just this week, however, Alexis Bellino (Real Housewives of OC) fired off a letter to In Touch stating that the magazine’s report about her own marriage was false. Alex and Jim Bellino were upset about an August 1, 2011 story published in In Touch magazine; they have sent off a cease and desist and demand for retraction against the publication this month. Bellino’s attorney says “Jim and Alexis Bellino are in great financial health”. The In Touch article claimed the Housewife was broke, bankrupt or facing foreclosure.
In February 2011, David Beckham sued In Touch for a publication about him and Irma Nici. Beckham eventually loss the U.S. case. Judge Manuel L. Real ruled that In Touch did not act with malice when it printed the Beckham report. Beckham’s team told news at the time “Unfortunately, the U.S. legal system requires us to show that the magazine acted maliciously. Any knowledgeable person knows this story not to be true.”
“Bauer do not dispute for purposes of this motion that their story is false,” publicist Jeff Raymond said in a written statement in February. “They have not provided one shred of evidence to support the claim this story is true. David Beckham’s clear evidence proved that this is without foundation.”
