Why Bukola Saraki emerged 8th Senate President Unopposed

There has been confusion as to how Senator Bukola Saraki emerged senate president unopposed..This confusion stems from the fact that,Senator Ahmed Lawan was chosen by the APC as it's sole candidate .This split the National House of Assembly in to two fractions..Those supporting Saraki and those behind Lawan who were the majority ..

51 APC senators who were behind Lawan were absent .In essence, the 57 PDP and APC senators present choose Saraki unanimously..

It has been revealed that,at the time Saraki was declared President, the senators absent were at the International Conference Centre, holding a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, to resolve the National Assembly leadership crisis.
Meanwhile, PDP's Senator Ike Ekweremadu was elected Deputy Senate President.

  2. This is not far from the truth. Senator Lawan and Buhari were still in a meeting waiting for Bukola Saraki’s not knowing the bad sharp guy was already in the national assembly. The voting had to commence at the said time.So Tinubu was outsmarted.

  8. You are no body in politics without allies.
Saraki knows that, so he quickly set his machines in motion, allying himself with PDP senators who are actually looking for an opportunity to hurt Tinubu and his puppets.
