#GEJismyHERO-Read Open letter by Nigerian who lost 30 relatives to Boko Haram

"People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people. The outcome of the elections in Nigeria just proved it. I commend and respect General Muhammadu Buhari for the relentless effort he has put in all these years and that finally got him the presidency. A true testimony of one not ever giving in anything you do.
My utmost respect however goes to President GoodLuck Ebele Jonathan. A true patriot and an Elder Statesman of Nigeria.
-Everything he promised he was going to do before the Elections, he fulfilled it overwhelmingly.
-He promised he was not going to sack Jega. He didn't.
-He promised that he was going to to exterminate boko haram from the North Eastern Nigeria before elections. He did.

-He promised that he will not rig the Elections with the incumbency power. He didn't.

-He promised that he will not contest the Elections. He didn't.

He told Nigerians that his political ambition is not worth a single Nigerian life. He even went ahead to sign a peace treaty with the opposition and congratulated his opposition when he lost the Elections.

I am from Adamawa state. I personally lost almost over 30 relatives including my dad and my first cousins who were in the Army to Boko Haram. Before now I was really upset and had lost total confidence in the President.

He has just proved to not just me and when I say this, I am speaking on behalf of my people from Adamawa state. That he is a True patriot of this country and an honourable elder statesman. We sincerely thank him for all the effort he put in to save North Eastern Nigeria from Boko Haram.

Above all we sincerely thank him for showing a lot of us youths, politicians, students, actors, sportsmen and elders how to accept defeat gracefully and with pride.

Long Live President Jonathan, Long Live President(Elect) Buhari and Long Live Nigeria."

....Mohammed Austin Dimas Yaduma Gundiri.

    4. You think accepting defeat is that easy rite? why didn't your GMB ever accept defeat in his 3 attempts at Aso Rock? he never even had the grace to call his bunch of unruly supporters to order when they caused chaos in the North just because he lost the election. Face it; Buhari is not a democrat nor an exemplary statesman, he is just a dictator who has been subjected to intensive re-branding by local and imported strategists in order to put forward an image acceptable to Nigerians. Admittedly, this strategy was also helped by the fact that GEJ did not meet people's expectations in ALL areas, but one thing I know is that his sojourn in Aso Rock was not completely fruitless. I wish Buhari all the best and acknowledge Jonathan for putting the interest of Nigerians first. @MEETDREALEVANS, stop being foolish.

  10. My dear sister Tessy, they don't come here and tell us about their b/days, rather they share with other blogs...that was how Madame Fruitilicious went to share "Richard Kard" on another blog. Am sure they must probably think we're too small for them here...*smh*

  12. Its only a brave man with a courageous heart and a humble attitude that can honourably accept defeat with all the resources at his disposal. GEJ is a rare gem and am very very proud of him.

  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLOG VISITOR AMMY BECKY.

Hello beautiful Stella, a beautiful morning to you. I know I only come here when I need a favour from you lol...i am sorry, selfish me! So i am soo happy today cos it's my birthday yay. I am 23 today hmm, this is not the way I imagined my life at 23 (married with 4kids, penniless, no education, and unhappy). But all the same I give thanks to God for the gift of life. Hubby doesn't even remember it's my day, so no gift as usual but it's all good cos I have accepted my fate.
So I don't have money for shoki nor can I send my pix for you to show dear bvs....am afraid of them lol. I just want you and them to wish me a happy birthday today, I want to be happy,i want to forget all my sorrows and troubles today. And you granting this request of mine will make me extremely happy. 18. God bless the writer, we all hope that BH will only exist in the history books in no distant time from now. The world predicted anarchy and disintegration but we got stronger. For me men of the moment are: GEJ for conceding defeat and allowing peace to reign, by not interfering with INEC and giving JEGA free hand, JEGA for being outstanding and GMB for emerging at this critical time. However, I will like to see electronic voting come into play as time goes on to reduce human interface in the electoral process. God has indeed blessed Nigeria.
