Hi ma'am,I was just minding my business on Facebook when I came across this on my time line.This is a clear n deliberate act of child abuse, I have siblings of this age n don't allow then do certain chores say more of being a house help n been transported to ibadan. My point is a child ranging from 12 to 15 years can offer little or no help n it's not a way of assisting d child's family. Child labour must stop.
What do you think about her requesting for a 12-15 year old girl as a house help?

I'm the first daughter and before I turned 10 I was cooking small meals like rice, making eba, cleaning, carrying my young cousins on my back, going to market and running errands, so please everyone should chill out. Most of us here have parents who we send younger kids from the village over to, just to help them around the house...in America, parents encourage their young teens to get baby sitting and nanny jobs so that they can earn money and learn responsibility...so CHILL NIGERIA

It depends on d type of help....d important thing is to ensure d little girl goes 2 school....mine is 14 and I fund her fees . Her major job is too stay with my newborn while I cook or run little errands..she also wash d plates, mop d house on Saturdays ..she also sweeps d house b4 she goes 2 school...just little little things like *go and get me this or that from d kitchen/parlour etc*

Have you heard of NAPTIP ( National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in persons)? Google it pls and be educated .

I have a girl of 11 and she's been with me since i got married She'll turn 16 this yr and I put her in private school. She's also writing junior waec this yr. So if she misbehaves can't I spank her or I'll leave her so she can rotten. Abeg I only object to maltreatment. Most of these kids are given beta life when they are kept in places in the city. And they can only be trained when u get them young. Instead of getting an 18 yr old that will punch u or sleep with ur husband. My opinion.

My point is you want to improve the life of a child by making him/her live with you, there is a procedure called adoption as provided under the Children and Young Persons Law of Lagos State. The law is to protect children who may be unlucky to fall into wrong hands. Let's try to do things rightly at all times and stop the show of sentiment. When we were much younger my cousin lived with aunt, she trained her through schooling and in return she helped out with kids. Now she's educated and with a good job all thanks to her aunt. If she had stayed bak with her family, am sure she'll probably be hawking something on the street or be a prostitute now.
So pls get my point before judging!!!
