I was having some funny pains all over me and I did a test for malaria and typhoid,only to find out am 5plus out of 8 in human system of typhoid.I got admitted,and I was told they will have to run another test which they never told me H.i.v was among. When i was discharged like 4days ago,they told me I was H.i.v negative,i was angry why dey should run such test without my consent,but i thank God knowing my status at the end.Just feel like sharing my short story and to advise every of your blog readers to learn how to always play save,because i heard it's the new law to get tested before being treated in lagos state

ReplyDeleteDid the same when i wanted to donate blood to a close relation early this year.They were counselling me about hiv,that it's wasnt the end of life.I was just calm becauze i didnt have symptom of body pain.After the counselling and testing it came out negative.

ReplyDeletethey do that alot. especially in these general hospitals. it can be either good or bad. good cus they dont want him/he infecting people or not getting treated. bad cus it's an invasion of privacy

The truth is for you to go to a hospital and tell the Dr. how you feel, you have confidence that he/she can help you, and whatever information you divulge to him/her will considered confidential. In order to adequately manage your health, he/she knows the kind of test required to ascertain your true state of health and knows the best possible way to give you information relating to your health. They carried out RVS without your consent, did you give them your consent before they did the MP and WIDAL tests. I guess no. Go back to that hospital and give the Dr. a warm handshake at least he helped you to know your status...Lol
