Is my stingy boyfriend using or testing me?

I am 26 years old university student from Edo state  .I met this Yoruba guy 6 months ago.He is a Lagos big boy.Nice house, a couple of rides and a good job.My problem is he has never bought me a gift or given me money.Not even on Valentine day ,or my birthday.But he takes me out and lets me eat and drink till I have my fill.He can pop champagne but whenever i stylishly say I'm broke, he will pretend not to hear.

He spends large sums of money when we go clubbing but he won't even give me cash.I used to think he liked dropping me off at home because he cared but I'm starting to think it's because he doesn't want to give me cab money.If I want to cook for him, he will buy all the ingredients himself and say he doesn't want me to stress myself .Now I know it's a lie.
However he tells me he loves me and wants to marry me.His friends call me Iyawo or wifey .My friends tell me if a man loves me, he will spend and buy gifts .They say he is just using me because we found out in the past, he has bought gifts for his exes.He even gave one money to shop in Dubai

Please Miss P readers is he just testing me.Can a man love you and be stingy?Guys is it possible to love a woman and not spend on her for 6 months?

    You say he spent money on his exes, maybe that is why they are ex in his life. If he gives you money, he will also ex you. Is that what you want?

    Hope he isn't using ur star or using u for blood money... maybe the baba that he uses asked him not to give u his money since u are the rituals. so tey he go drop u 4 house make him money no touch ur hand. Try and ask him for 5 or 10 naira to do something small like to see if he'll give u

    I don't gerrit(In my British voice)Why can't every girl be independent like me.I make 7 figures a year and men beg to spend on me because they know i am a big girl apart from being so damn beautiful.Girl men are stingy to girls who are fools and don't have their own money.So dump him and go make some money

    My dear! there is power in thee spiritual. There is more to this stinginess and its not normal, even a stingy guy sef will not spend on u or take you out to dinner abi na lunch, u no go c 1 naira chop. i think he is into something spiritual whereby he isn't suppose to give u cash.

    Now the question is, do u love him or ur infactuated by the cash u see and therefore wanna keep him so u can brag to ur friend how well to do ur boyfriend is??     What do you need money for?
    Since you say he likes spending, take him to where you want to get whatever you want and let him pay for it. Or you want cash?
    He might be reluctant to give you cash Cos of his past experience.
