Dr Joseph Kumba, Director, Public Health in the Ministry of Health and Human Services confirmed the report to the Sun
“We got the report at a meeting today (Wednesday 13th August) that two persons died at Ushakaa clinic as a result of drinking and bathing with hot salted water.”......The Medical Director of Ushakaa Hospital Dr Innocent Gbillah who did not disclose the names said it was a male and a female who were admitted on Saturday..
“We did everything possible to help the victims but to no avail. One of them died on Tuesday at 7 pm while the other gave up the ghost at 5 am Wednesday (yesterday).”
