Toddler survives on her own for days after single mum dies at home(Photo)

This little girl was found hungry, dehydrated and terrified as she met firefighters who had bashed through the door of her home to get to her.

The three-year-old survived on leftover bread and gone off milk after her single mother died of a heart attack.
A friend of the family raised the alarm when they came to visit but got no response, the landlord, Mr Shi, then went to the rented flat and could hear the child crying.Fearing that the girl might have been trapped home alone, Shi called the fire department which dispatched rescuers to break down the door.

The shocked firefighters then found the lonely little girl, dirty and in tears, near the entrance of the tiny flat, while Miss Zhang’s body was found lifeless on her bed.Paramedics said Miss Zhang, 31, had been dead for at least two days.

Mr Shi told investigators that Zhang had been renting his flat for several years now, and he had never seen or heard of his tenant having a husband or a boyfriend.
