Presidency reacts to the missing 2016 budget

The presidency has reacted to the N6.08tr Budget which is said to have gone missing at the National assembly ..
According to the Senior Special Assistant Media & Publicity,Garba Shehu,Nigerians should direct their enquiries to the appropriate quarters as it ceased to be the property of the presidency once it was submitted ..He also dismissed reports that the president withdrew the budget...
" Nobody except the President can withdraw the budget. As far as we know, he hasn't done that.
The copies in their hundreds have been delivered to both chambers of the National Assembly.By tradition, once the budget is submitted, it ceases to be our property..Enquiries as to where it is should be directed to the appropriate quarters. Best regards"
Following reports of the missing budget,  President Buhari and Senate President Bukola Saraki met behind closed doors for about 30 minutes at the state house this afternoon.
