It’s disgraceful for soldiers to run away from Boko Haram —Buhari

General Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday evening, declared that it was disgraceful for Nigerian soldiers to run away from insurgents and abandon their weapons in the process. The retired General stated these at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Square in Bauchi,He said if elected, he will put an end to insurgency
“It is disgraceful for Nigeria despite the fact that our military had participated in peacekeeping operations in Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Sudan and did well, they could not battle terrorists in Nigeria,”“APC government at the federal level will find a lasting solution to the problem of insecurity. We are going to look into the problems confronting the police, army, navy and Air Force who, despite the huge money being spent on them as salaries and for procuring weapons for them by the government, could still find it difficult to face insurgents.

  7. Why do people have this misconception that the Millitary is under armed? Have you ever wondered and given a thought to videos that BH show off when ever they capture any barracks or repel soldiers who usually leaves their weapons and arms and runs for their dear life! Watch the recent BH capture of the army barracks in Baga, see the avalanche of ammunitions they got and how they boasted that it's Allah that gave them such huge ammunitions and that they were gonna use it to wipe out the whole Nigeria! The army has never been well equipped than now! Their are fifth columnist in the NA! They are all doing this for political purposes just to undermine their perceived political foes. Just watch BH videos on youtube and you'll get a clearer picture of the whole saga!

  10. When ihejirika was coas there was no case of soldiers fleeing from terrorists in battlefield. There were even cases that their commanders would order them to hold fire so that bokoharam would operate unhindered, still they never flee.It was after the northern elders and sultan accused azubike ihejirika of trying to wipe out all bokoharam members that gej had no choice than to relieve him of his effective job. After a new coas and chief of defence is appointed that soldiers started dropping their weapon and dessert battlefield. How do you expect a soldier who exhausted the 30 rounds of ammunition given to him to still wait when he is not a ghost? There are also sabotage within the army hierarchy
