Meanwhile the Liberian government has also apologised to Nigeria for Patrick Sawyer's trip which spread Ebola into Nigeria. They acknowledged he was aware of his status, and was under surveillance but, ignored medical advice and escaped . The Liberian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Nurudeem Mohammed, told journalists in Abuja
"The Liberian President President has personally called to apologise on the unfortunate development. She specifically said her country had declared a state of emergency over the Ebola epidermic in Liberia.‘She equally apologised that Sawyer ignored medical advice and escaped out of Liberia.”
Nigeria acted too late. we would have created quarantine centres at our airports and border crossings immediately the Ebola outbreak started. everyone arriving Nigeria should have been screened. Just imagine the panic it is causing Nigerians now. Just one man has put the lives of 140 million Nigerians @ risk.
ReplyDeleteimagine, I received numerous calls this morning, advising me to bath with salty water. I did it.

ReplyDeleteLiberian government are to blame. Imagine that statement that "he escaped out of liberia". So u ppl quarantined him and weren't watchful? Abi the man na ghost(b4 his death) wey fit escape unnoticed? Liberia purposely wanted Nigeria to have dia own share of the ebola and they've succeeded. Only God will see us through.
ReplyDeleteYes. How did he just pass immigration and all.How can he escape? Is he bin Laden. They needed the world attention on it and the only way to get help is through Nigeria
DeleteThis is so so sad! This is man's act of inhumanity to man. He knew he was infected and he would rather take many with him than die alone. Haba. May God save us all!
ReplyDeleteVery wicked man, people are dying cos of him now
ReplyDeleteIt is truly annoying seeing this mans picture on
ReplyDeleteblogs and newspapers. It seems that's what he
wants after he is gone cause he definitely knew
he was infected before boarding that flight to
Nigeria. People please stay indoors for now. Avoid
unessential public exposures and avoid body
contacts as much as possible. Thank God the
schools are on vacation before this outbreak.

We're stay in your house don't go to work
DeleteIn d 90's, we sent soldiers to them for peacekeeping; now they are returning the favour by sending Ebola to us -this is the most wicked act. A nurse is dead, a doctor also is critically ill, many more are also infected.
ReplyDeleteHow will they come up with an unbelievable claim that the man escape? how? Did he enter Nigeria by foot? He passed through various security checks before he was able to board that flight. I still put the blame on our government. The fact is this, nobody will value the safety of your nation than you do.
America ensured that everybody coming to their country for the America-African summit was screened (including Heads of States ). May God help us.
...I think I enjoyed the warm saltwater bath this morning.

pardon the grammatical errors pls
ReplyDeleteshrek
Some say maybe he was coming to see TB Joshua.I think the Liberian government knew he was coming to Nigeria. He didn't just rush from the hospital and hop on a flight. If he was under surveillance, how did they not raise alarm when they didn't see him? Also they say he was coming for a conference in Calabar, when he escaped why didn't they send a warning or Ebola alert? They wanted him to infect Nigeria so help will come their way. If Nigeria is infected, the whole world is in danger. They succeeded
ReplyDeleteThis man is so wicked may d souls of d dead innocent nigerians he infected continue to torment him. I'm on vacation to Oniru beach #swimmingtinz
