Violence erupts in Jos as Igbos and Hausa clash

Calm has returned to the parts of Jos where there was a minor clash between some Hausa and Igbo residents.

According to Premuim Times, the situation was said to have been caused by a disagreement between some Hausa and Igbo residents of Rwang Pam street over the ongoing violence in Abia.

A witness said the police have taken over the Rwang Pam street and Ahmadu Bello way, the scenes of the violent incident.

“Everything is under control now as everyone is now rushing back home,” the witness, who asked she not be named for security reasons, said.
Another witness who resides in the area also said the situation is calm.
“The situation is calm now, we can see the police everywhere.”
The police, whose new commissioner recently assumed duties, have not released any statement on the incident as at the time of this report.

  1. Jos is NOT hausaland! Hausas can't even buy land there anymore because the indigenes won't sell to them.If given a c u oice the middle belt people would rather support ibos over hausas. Ipob would have gotten many allies from other parts of the country but they'very made it to be an ibo thing. If the hausas have beef with ibos they should do it in kano, katsina, sokoto etc. Also..rivers people have warned ipob to stay away from Port Harcourt. The truth about Nigeria is the larger tribes......always try to subjugate the smaller ones...and now they're dragging them into their beef.Plateau is not hausa and rivers is not ibo!!!
