The Presidency revealed Thursday that in the last ten months, the Federal government has not paid the salaries and allowances of former President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Shehu who is ninety-one years old, was President of Nigeria between 1979- 1983.
Also affected in the non payment of salaries and allowances since January this year are former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo; Goodluck Jonathan; former Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, rtd; General Abdulsalami Abubakar; General Yakubu Gowon and Chief Ernest Shonekan.

According to Vanguard, these were revealed to the Senators Thursday when the Senate Committee on of Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, led by Senator Tijjani Kaura (APC, Zamfara North) visited the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

What salary are they still collecting when the ordinary nigerian can't survive a meal a day. Buhari should stop their salary as quickly as possible and he should disburse the money to the common man in the street. Nonsense.
