54 dead as 5 bomb blasts rock Maiduguri

54 dead,143 wounded as 5 suicide bomb blasts rocked Maiduguri city today..Witnesses told AP,the first explosion came from a suicide bomber in a tricycle taxi who blew himself up outside a fish market and killed at least 10 people.
"I saw many dead bodies lying on the ground, many dead, and several others badly injured," said fish seller Idi Idrisa.
A woman with explosives strapped to her body blew herself up at roughly 11:20 am (1020 GMT) when she got out of a motorised rickshaw at Maiduguri’s Baga fish market, said the head of the fisherman’s union, Abubakar Gamandi, who was at the scene.
“The bomb was devastating because it occurred at a crowded area,” said Jamuna Jarmi, a grocery seller.

About an hour later another blast rocked the popular Monday Market, causing chaos as locals voiced anger at security forces who struggled to control the scene.
Just after 1:00 pm a third blast hit a used car lot which is attached to the busy Borno Express bus terminal.

    2. Election is getting close, they are trying to cast more shades on GEJ but they don't know that righteousness exalts a nation and sin is a reproach. Buhari can never win even if they kill us all, the sand of this nation will rise against Buhari.

  13. These kind of savage attacks happen because of several fundamental defects in Islam. First, it is guided by their Koran, but there is no central authority to determine official interpretation. As a decentralized religion, every demented follower can add his sick, uneducated interpretation. There are branches and those branches have official interpretations, but no central authority reconciles differences and brings it all together. The Koran calls for the destruction of infidels, whereas the New Testament of Christianity preaches judgment is reserved for the Almighty, and Christians are to use persuasion and example to win converts. Before militant atheists bring up the Inquisition and failings of the past, just remember those acts were not called for or sanctioned by our lord Jesus Christ. It was not the message of the Founder. And finally, knowing how Muslims reacts on this blog, before you tell me I don't know what I am talking about, read "A Short Introduction to Islam" written by the chair of Islamic studies at Oxford University, and the Koran itself, like I did, before tossing uneducated darts at my assessment of why these terrible things are happening in the NorthEast of Nigeria and throughout the world.
