Ebola:Juliet Ibrahim reacts as Spanish priest is given experimental drug which was denied Nigeria

The Spanish government confirmed that a 75 year old Spanish Catholic priest, Miguel Pajares, who got infected with Ebola while working in Liberia will be treated with the experimental drug called ZMapp ..

The drug is being administered to the priest at the Madrid’s La Paz-Carlos III hospital where he is in isolation..

Meanwhile,Juliet Ibrahim took to her instagram page to air her displeasure. Remember,Nigeria's request for the drug was turned down by the US. And according to WHO,the Vaccine may only be ready in 2015.

Read what she said below

: "Nigeria asked for the Zmapp drug and was refused the drug! Now Spanish priest who is now back home safely yet suffering from Ebola; Spanish government request for the exact same drug and they are getting the drug to cure him! Africans! Africans! Africans! I said der is more to dis dat meets d eye! Educate urselves and remember right now prevention is better than cure! This is no time for ignorance to take over us if our leaders are joking with this let's not joke about this. #ebolaawareness it is real. God be with us all"

  2. Maybe is high time Africans stop depending of them. Don't we have doctors like they do? The same way their doctors did research and came up with the drug, ours should get to work too!!!!

    2. Hi i am not from africa , but settled in nigeria ,, my heart weeps for people in africa . its very sad but pls people stop blaming each other and calling names its not fashion
But focus on what’s happening as an outsider I can see the problems and potential of this country at least Nigeria
Lets stop being selfish and work for the society, let’s not be corrupted and not tolerate corruption
Lets make sure that the funds allocated to the health sector r properly used, control price of all the service
Lets not depend on US for anything, let’s not be crazy for US luxury items but let’s encourage products manufactured in Nigeria so that economy grows
Let us not be divided by cast or religion , we sow Ebola dint do any difference in killing people of different religion or cast , so let’s protect our self as one
Lets ask the government to invest in scientific research and developing new hospitals instead of begging US for medication next time we are effected by Ebols or any other problems we should have vaccination for it prepared in Africa.
Tell government and business people that we people need more advanced hospital not malls and we need power not generators
Fight people , until u all fight for your rights you will not get it
And last but most important lets not be corrupted and lets teach our children what is Right
We have suffered but let our children not suffer

    3. You are right. Our people are busy pursuing wealth they can not finish till they die instead of looking for means of having a better life for Nigerians. What is it they think other country can do that we can not do if we put the same amount of man power, capital, research, etc, to it. God did not create us differently. Our selfishness is what is killing us. May God arrest all our leaders to start thinking positively. Amen.

    2. We are talking of somethings serious here and you are talking of gay... Will gayism stop the disease? Why not promote good and not evil. Somebody like you is trying to test God by changing his motive of creation. Who are you to do that? Think of your life. Do you know how you came to this world? You just saw yourself existing and you think you can do anything you like.. Use your tongue and count your teeth.

  5. Lets be realistic.

It is still an experimental drug. They probably have very few samples.

If there was just one case in nigeria, then yeah, maybe they might have given us.

And 2, abeg, if the drug turns around and causes something else (sidr effects) we will be screaming at the top of our voice how america wants to kill us and bla bla.

So no, i do not blame them. It is better to test the drugs on their people.
