  11. I think what you have is called Keloid scarring. Treatments are available but might be expensive. A brief look search on Google yielded these treatments
    steroid injections
applying steroid-impregnated tape to the area for 12 hours a day
applying a silicone sheet to the area at night for several months (however, there is not much evidence that this works)

    1. correct! it is a keloid scar I had one too but the steroid injections only stopped it from getting larger I had to have surgery to remove it completely and it has never come back again 9 years later. Very simple day surgery they only numb the area they are going to operate on and you go home the same day. The being said mine was done in obodo oyibo so I don't know the procedure for naija if that is where the poster lives

    2. Silicone sheet works try scaraway silicone sheet you can wear it for more than 8 hrs a day, you will see results ASAP

  16. You can go for a surgery...but its not so bad, just remove your mind from it

  17. Stop worrying abt it....specialists can remove it via minor reconstructive skin graft surgery

  18. I think your scars are beautiful. Imperfections usually are, it's what makes us unique. However as you dislike them, you could try using scar plasters. Within a few weeks, with regular use, the scar constricts substantially. Then you can start applying pure vitamin E oil to the diminished scar, and in a short while you'll barely notice it. This is the cheaper alternative to surgery. Good luck.

  19. It depend on what you can afford. If you have money id say have laser treatment for scars if not, invest In bio oil for scars.. It will take time before you see results but it's all about patience. It's best to be comfortable in your skin... Nobody can use what you're comfortable against you.., what you embrace.. People will too. Your confidence in such a minor problem may help don't one with much bigger problems than you!

  23. I am one of the advocates of God's given remedies to health issues. My sister had a similar things and she cured it with *ORI* in Yoruba language and *ABUBA EKE* in Igbo language. Go to the section in any local market where they sell herbs and ask for this, its the fat tissue from a Python, believe me, it works wonders, it will flatten it and no one will even know that you had such. Do not mind the source please, many of our drugs are from frogs, toads, snakes etc. For instance, most anti-venoms are from snakes. Go now and let us hear from you in about 3months times. DO NOT GO UNDER THE KNIVES (NO SURGERIES PLS) Good luck.

  30. Girl what you need to do is to get a silicone scar sheet, Google it and order it online from amazon.com, if you don't have a credit card get one or ask someone outside the country to help you get it. its like $24 about N4000 or so it will reduce and conceal it, its used after surgical procedures and it works wonders.

  32. Apply lemon to the scar. Lemons contain alpha hydroxy acids(AHA) which help to remove dead skin cells, help new cells grow, and bring back some elasticity to the skin. As a natural bleach, it can help lighten scars.
Make sure the scar and surrounding area are cleaned thoroughly
Put 1 teaspoon of lemon juice on a cotton ball
Rub the cotton ball on the scarred area
Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off
Lemon juice may make your skin sensitive to light, so consider wearing sunscreen wherever you applied it when going outside.
