Despite reports that the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission banned Wande Coal's Go Low video. The NBC has refuted that report.
Here is a report from THE NET
An NBC spokesperson spoke to Nigerian Entertainment Today about the rumour being false and that the commission only advised terrestrial broadcast stations that they should edit musical videos before they make use of it.
"We have no issues with the lyrics; the issue is with the video clip and just a tiny part of it. The advice is to edit that part before use on broadcasting station", Francisca Aiyetan a rep from the Broadcast Content and Zonal Coordination of the commission told NET
"It is Important that we are extra careful with programmes on terrestrial free-to-air stations because, viewers at home receive the signals of these stations without soliciting for them. These stations, more or less barge into the privacy (homes) of their viewers, with children (impressionable) watching unfettered", she explained.
So,what kind of rumor was that? A Publicity stunt or what?Hmm
Am sure there's an atom of truth in the rumor, but probably they got criticized n they decided to make this report to strike a balance.
