IGP leads Police delegation to visit Buhari in London

Following speculations about the true state of health of President Muhammadu Buhari in a London hospital, Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kputom Idris, on Tuesday led a high powered police delegation to visit the President in London

Reliable sources told Vanguard that the IGP was accompanied by the DIG in charge Finance and Administration, Mr. Shuiabu Gambo, Commissioner of Police in Charge Monitoring Unit, CP Umar Garba and other top ranking officers who left the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport early Tuesday morning.

Asked reasons for the impromptu visit, the source declined comments but confirmed the trip was a top secret and planned at short notice.

Recall that President Buhari left Nigeria last Thursday for 2-week holiday in London, though his Special Adviser on Media, Femi Adesina said that he will use the opportunity to undergo a medical check-up. Speculations have been rife about the true health status of the president with the presidency insisting weekend that the President is hale and hearty, that he only went on vacation to rest.

  2. And how much did this 'impromptu'trip cost? Who paid for it? Who is monitoring the security situation in Nigeria as you all are busy being 'impromptu'? With the socioeconomic situation Nigeria is in, was this a wise trip? People are hungry in Nigeria. People are being killed in the North East of Nigeria. You impromptu people seem totally indifferent. Shame!

      "Peace"

      (Peace) oh my
      (Peace)
      (Peace) all around the world
(Peace) it's what I prayer for
      (Peace) oh my
      (Peace)
      (Peace) hurry

Come on in this house children
      The war has started
      Light the candles right now
It's about to be darkness, oh yeah
There's no telling when the sun will shine again, no
      When it's over there's a question asked
      Who wins? Who wins?

      Spirit
      Through the land
      Spirit of peace
      Oh yes
      Spirit move
      Oh move
      Oh yeah
      Heaven send down

(Peace) it's what I prayer for
      (Peace) oh my

      (Peace) all around the world
(Peace) it's what I prayer for
      (Peace) oh my
      (Peace)
      (Peace) hurry

Turn your head, close your eyes
There's people out there dying, oh
With so much wealth in the land
      Why is this land starving?
As I look over this place
      There's so much hatred
If I could I'd pack my bags
      And hitch hike to heaven

      Spirit move
      Oh move
      Spirit move
      All through the land
      Won't you move
Oh move, oh move, oh move
      Oh move, yeah
This is what I prayer for

      (Peace) for peace
      (Peace) all around the world

    4. "Peace Throughout the World"
      By Maxi Priest

      "I say a little prayer
      Hoping I'll be heard
Lord help the children to find peace in their time
I look around me, it all seems so wrong
Got to find a way to make it all right
      [Chorus]
Oh oh peace peace throughout the world
Just a little peace just a little peace
      Peace throughout the world
War for money war for land
Tell me how long it's going to be before we understand
      People of the world
It's time we get things straight
'Cause if we don't get it together
      It's gonna be too late
      [Chorus]
In a world where peoples' feelings don't matter
In a world where people just don't care
I search the high and low to find myself an answer
Nothing seems to matter, no one seems to care
Take a look to the future
      What do you see
Twentieth century going down on it's knees
      If we…"
