I regret my actions & apologize particularly to the Nigerian youth -Orubebe

Former Niger Delta Affairs Minister Elder Godsday Orubebe has apologised for his outburst during the release of elections results in Abuja. He told reporters in Abuja last night ..
”Election is a passionate thing and I really regret what took place this morning. I was unnecessarily pushed by Jega to get to that level. I want to apologise particularly to young Nigerians that look up to take politics as a career to say that what happened was not intended to cause them any embarrassment. To Nigerians generally, I regret my actions even as an elder in the church, and a leader, the young men expected to see a lot from me and I believe that if there was any disappointment they got from me, I apologise to Nigerians and to the youths of this country.”
“We have always talked about peace in this country and remember that when there was crisis in the Niger Delta, I was one of the architects that sacrificed to get the creeks to tell the militants that we need peace in this country alongside President Goodluck Jenathan.”

    2. It's not bad to stand up and.speak up for your self, say how u feel and challenge what you consider wrong. That's what democracy is about and I admire your courage but then, you spoke, u shud have let jega speak before acting that way. It was uncalled for.

Plus u don't even need to shout and quarrel to makevur point known or accepted... Thank God everything went on fine and God's elect was chosen.... Let peace reign in Nigeria.... And I pray Buhari delivers and bring the change we all desire.... Great Nigeria Great People

    1. Buhari should first apologise to all nigerians for inciting the killing of thousands of innocent people by his hausa-fulani brothers in 2011 due to selfish political ambition

    2. Are you saying jega ddnt favor the north? Are you saying jega did not overlook underaged voters? Think again. It was predicted that's why people called for his resignation. Jega failed when he met apc top chiefs in dubai.

    3. All of una way dey hail jega calmness. Jega didn't do anything extraordinary except you have fighting parents, fighting boyfriends. Jegas look said it all and jega was scared. He couldn't even ttalk,it was when another pdp said let him explain before he did. Jega wouldn't have.removed his agbada to fight Neither could he chase him out in a democractic government. He sent his security and the guy chased them back. It's only normal, he would ve either kept quiet or walked out. We see this in David marks behavior in senate everyday and with bankers etc so please don't blow his behavior out of proportion. He was shaken, it was obvious. Orubube humbles jega. Prior to that, jega was attaching professors but couldn't say a word.

Maryam asked for Jegas chill. It means u cannot be public officer or maybe you wake up to daddy mommy fight daily. I ddnt expect less Sorry cos I do same always Infact, I let people speak, when they are done, I do what I want. Jega did what Orubube wanted and I'm sure that's why he ddnt say a word when pdp refused to sign the score sheet. Orobube ddnt apologize because of jegas calmness but because of the public

  6. Sir,there is no need to apologise to anybody. What you did was right.Buhari would have called his muslim hausa fulani brothers to the street to start slaughtering innocent people if he had lost. The election of buhari is a vote wickedness.

    3. Please speak the truth where it should be spoken. Buhari has the blood of thousands of innocent Nigerians on his hands from both 2011 and through Boko Haram. If he had lost this election there would have been more bloodshed and you & I know this. Pls stop parading him as a Saint because he's the devil himself. Nigerians will soon get a taste of the change they voted for, change from bad to worse. As for Jega, he's a smooth operator in rigging, his rigging started from when he met with APC in Dubai and made a pact with his Fulani brother that they'll take back the power. Nigerians can be so easly fooled. May God help us. BTW I didn't vote for GEJ
