Rochas Okorocha picks up Imo Governorship form after failed presidential bid

Less than 20 hours after Governor Rochas Okorocha crashed out of the (APC) presidential primaries held on December 11, 2014, the Imo State APC yesterday hurriedly organized a gubernatorial primary ..

The state Commissioner for Lands and the son-in-law of Governor Okorocha, Chief Uche Nwosu,who had earlier been elected as the consensus governorship candidate of the party surprisingly withdrew his candidature

According to Sun, Chairman of the election committee of the party, Mr. John Alamba, said the party had to organize another gubernatorial primaries in line with the party’ s constitution to replace Chief Uche Nwosu..
