Controversy: Pope Francis claims animals also go to heaven

Pope Francis is used to making what conservatives call controversial statements .This time, he has triggered a storm when he said animals also go to heaven. The 77 year old pope  confirmed this during his weekly address in the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square that canines, along with “all of God’s creatures,” can make it to heaven.

The leader of the Catholic Church made the remark in order to comfort a young boy who was mourning the death of his dog, according to the New York Times.He said 
“One day we will see our animals again in eternity of Christ. Paradise is open to all God’s creatures.”
The question being asked now is, if they go to heaven, do they also go to hell? E.G those dogs who attacked the little boy in Lagos..

    Well,I tink animals wil also go to heaven but to hell,I don't no.during d tym of Noah,d animals all went into d ark in twos and its also God dat created dem.God also says in His word dat we can't no all tins dat sumtins are mystery so its beat left unknown-as per animals goin to hell

    When God created animals, Did He God put His Spirit in them?
    But In Genesis 1:26, He said, Come Let us create MAN in Our own image.
    so my brother, If ordinary dog go go heaven, na bi say even rats, fly's , lizard , fowl, goats and others too go go to heaven . So, na him bi say , all the goats, chicken and turkey wen you and I don dey kill over the years, And the once wen we go kill the Xmas will go to heaven. Abi?
