Izabel Laxamana jumped from a bridge on May 29, just days after her dad Jeff cut off her hair and posted a video of the punishment online.
She was taken to a hospital, where she died on Saturday.During the video posted by her father, a male voice can be heard saying:
“The consequences of getting messed up, man, you lost all that beautiful hair.“Was it worth it?”
She replies "no" before he asks: “How many times did I warn you?”
She girl quietly replies: “A lot.”
It is still not clear why Izabel was in trouble with her father.
The News Tribune quotes reports on social media that the schoolgirl was upset after being banned from running for a position on the student body.
A statement said the girl did not have parental permission to participate as a candidate, and rumour-mongering was hurting efforts of students and staff to deal with the trauma of Izabel's death.
She girl quietly replies: “A lot.”

DeleteNot in support of suicide because it's a selfish option and most who indulge already have psychological problems. But why shame her publicly. Is it that we can no longer achieve much without going public with it even in our homes? Well, he just got served and I hope he's happy now.

Mtchew!!!almost everybody in Nigeria has bn publicly beaten,knelt down or disgraced and u don't hear anyone committing suicide.America and other western world are breeding spoilt brats as kids.look at all their kids,they don't know what respect is!!!they talk back at their parents and even ones as small as 14 slap their mums and they get nothing but grounded.lolz.they go to school and disrespect teachers n go free cos they are brats!!!this girl at such age has bn abusing drugs and alcohol.the dad has bn reprimanding her at home but she keeps getting worse.what else did u want him to do??he thought shaming her publicly ll set her straight but unfortunately it didn't!!!he had good intention.I don't even believe she killed herself cos of ordinary hair.she was messed up in the head from too much drugs n alcohol.I don't blame the father I blame govt that take away this kids or lock up parents who whoop their kids.mtchew
ReplyDeleteThe major problem with America is how to discpline kids. To them discipline is punishment and untolerated. The kids is at free will to call the police for their parents, teachers and elders at any slightest offence. Even their educational system does not allow for kids to be spanked. SMH!!!

ReplyDeleteYou are right @honesty, the story is incomplete. I've read the story and that girl has been a wayward child. The father did everything a good parent could do to make her better. At thirteen she is already messed up with drugs.
