Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been recommened for the Nobel Peace Prize by a public policy organisation on African affairs, the Africa Political
and Economic Strategic Center (AFRIPOL).
The organisation noted that the will of Alfred Nobel, the progenitor of Nobel Prize stated that Peace Prize be awarded to whoever “shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses”.
Accordingly the organisation the ‘peaceful way President Jonathan conceded to President-elect Buhari deserves the attention of Nobel Peace Prize committee.

He may have not promoted “fraternity between nations” but he surely promoted fraternal peace among Nigerians by conceding power.’The group maintained that the “concession speech by President Jonathan averted bloodshed, violence and imbroglio in the most populous country in Africa. This gesture by Jonathan [sic] buttressed to the whole world that Nigeria has joined the comity of civilized nations”.

ReplyDeleteIt is a welcome idea to recommend him for noble peace award. His type is rare in african, and should be given the award.
ReplyDeleteIts alright!!! Meanwhile,No Shaking I saw your comment on the "meet the BV" and you happened to mention my name amongst others. What happened to yours?? Why can't we see your "angelic/monstrious" feature?!
ReplyDeleteBuhari deserve a Nobel Peace prize too,for the way and manner he accepted victory!!!!!! All people shouting for Nobel Peace prize what contribution has GEJ to improve the quality of life since he was President!!! No to Nobel Peace Prize-Pst.Chekeleke
ReplyDelete....For the way and manner he accepted victory!! You are such a joker!
DeleteWell if you can't still admit that GEJ did something worthwhile for Nigerians, then go get some Alomo bitters to increase your bitterness.
Lol...Then also admit that Buhari has done something ..,I will recommend a drink called Hero's to increase your happiness for Buhari. -Pst.Chekeleke
DeleteGiwa am sorry to say this but I must say it... You are so myopic and pathetic too.
DeleteOk we know that PMB has done something like fulfuling his promise to make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ, not giving up and recontesting, believing in cHANGE, and telling Nigerians that he is a farmer and has no money for the nomination form...lol.
I admit the fact that he is the president FRN and that's why he has my support and that of other Nigerians to bring the desired change #smiling. But can you for once see something good in others and acknowledge it. Please stop being an antagonist it doesn't suit you as a lifestyle okay!
Well thanks for the drink its surely for Heroes you know. #winks #GEJisahero

@ Nadine , I don't hate anybody...It my personal opinion ..call for Nobel Peace Prize is too unnecessary for now...Let us see his contribution toward humanity first -Pst.Chekeleke
DeleteHe has already done ALOT Giwa. Even if he was not a good president, his action after the elections spared so many lives. You say call for nobel peace price is unnecessary but u did mention in your comment that Buhari shd also be given a Nobel peace price for accepting victory...now tell me, which one is more unnecessary>>??????

He lost an election and he accepted defeat, so that qualifies him for Nobel Peace Prize?
