It is blood money - Facebook users reject Governor Okorocha's N5.5m gift

Rochas Okorocha, Imo state governor reportedly gave out a whooping N5.5m to Ebonyi House of Assembly member, Maria Ude Nwachi, N5.5 million to share her Facebook group, The Igboist.

 The group is dedicated to Igbos on the social media platform.


Okorocha reportedly gave out the money in  celebration of his 55th birthday which comes up on September 22nd.

Mari of course made the anouncement on her page but the response she got from some people were really not nice.
Some followers described the money as blood money, while others simply asked that he uses the money to pay salaries of the state civil servants he is owing.

    Just some disgruntled people still angry about the last election. His crime is his APC membership.
