A teenager died after being bitten by a venomous cobra while kissing it for a photo stunt.
18 year old volunteer snake rescuer Somnath Mhatre, 18, had plucked the deadly reptile from a car to move it to a safer place.But when he posed for a photo attempting to peck the snake on the head, the reptile turned on him, sinking its fangs into his chest.
The teenager was rushed to hospital in Navi Mumbai, India, where he fought for his life but died five days later, The Hindustan Times reports.
Mhatre who had rescued more than 100 snakes - died on February 2.

ReplyDeleteHaving spent time in India, I have witnessed feats that would curl your hair. The snake charmers use cobras with their teeth removed. Forget that for one moment and you see the result. People also see the cobra as the embodiment of Sheva, one of the Hindu Gods. They should remember she is the god of death.
