George Michael's lover claims he slept in his car as the singer died alone at home

 George Michael’s boyfriend has revealed he slept in his car on the night the star died alone at home.

Fadi Fawaz, who found him the next day, told the Mirror:

“I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night.”

Tweets from Fadi's account claimed that George had wanted to die and had killed himself. But he later said his Twitter account had been hacked.

Fadi , 40, originally claimed he spent the weekend at George’s house and found him dead on Christmas morning.But he now insists the pair spent the night apart and he discovered his lifeless body the next day,Daily Mirror reports

Fadi added:

 “I never saw him. I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night. The police know ­everything. That’s the most important thing.But last week he said: “I stayed the whole weekend. I was there Friday night and then I found him Sunday.”

Fadi was pictured buying coffee on Christmas Eve from a shop near George’s home in the village of Goring-on-Thames, Oxon. It is unclear why he spent the night apart from his 53-year-old lover.A post mortem into George’s death last Friday proved “inconclusive”.

But the tweets from Fadi’s account added to the riddle. One read:

 “Not sure who that nasty close friend of George but i was in relationship with george micheal till i found him dead in bed.
“The only thing George wanted is to DIE. He tried numbers of time to kill himself many times…” Another added chillingly: “And finally he managed…“We loved each other very much and we were together almost 24 hours a day…”

The tweets – as well as Fadi’s account – were then deleted. But not before they were spotted by George’s legions of fans.

Fadi claimed he had been hacked. When contacted by the Mirror, the 40-year-old said:

 “I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing.
“My Twitter account has been hacked and closed. It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11.30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.”
