Teacher rapes his 10 year old male pupil in Oyo

A primary school teacher, Collins Obi, has been arrested by policemen for allegedly having anal sex with his student.

Obi, 20, was arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, after allegedly having anal sex with a 10-year old pupil in Asaka Itamaya area of the city.

The teacher was said to be taking the boy in extra mural classes when he lured him into a house in the neighbourhood and defiled him on Monday.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr. Adekunle Ajisebutu, said Obi was  arrested following a report by the victim’s mother at the Iyaganku police station.

The victim had reported the abuse to his mother.Consequently, police detectives swooped on the neighbourhood and holed Obi out of his hiding.

According to Ajisebutu a Superintendent of Police (SP), the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming that he was introduced to sodomy by an older friend who is now at large.

The police spokesman said the victim was later taken to hospital for medical attention.
