Moment French police order Muslim woman to remove her burkini on Nice beach

A woman was forced to strip off in Nice by police officers armed with pepper spray and batons . Four  officers stood over her as she removed a garment protecting her modesty. She was then fined 38 euros.The former air hostess, whose family members have been French citizens for at least three generations, said: 

“I wasn’t even planning to swim, just to dip my feet.”

  Nice is one of several towns in France which have imposed a ban on burkinis and similar Muslim-style clothes on beaches.
