Following the court judgement which may see her spend 5 years in jail, embattled actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima has begged her friends and foes alike to pray for her .
The actress who was sentenced to five years imprisonment yesterday by Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of a Lagos High Court for the death of one Dr Giwa Suraj whom she killed in an auto accident along Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos in 2005.
However, when contacted on the
telephone, Ibinabo’s PA confirmed to Vanguard that the once cheerful actress has
been speechless since the judgment was delivered. According to her,
“My boss has been feeling unwell since the judgment was delivered. We are afraid it doesn’t affect her health. She just had an operation.”
She had gone to the Court of Appeal to challenge a jail term slammed on her by a Lagos High Court, and urged the court to set aside the sentence and restore the decision of the Magistrate Court which sentenced her to a N100, 000 fine.
Shattered by the development, Ibinabo who is the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,AGN, had gone to her facebook page to ask Nigerians to pray her. “Pray me ,”

ReplyDeleteThat woman is very selfish. She should've asked us to pray for the person she killed. I only wished they had given her a much longer sentence. 5yrs is an insult to the life she took. Reckless woman with no remorse.

Come to think of it...you were granted bail and you paid 100,000naira as in just 100,000naira as if that will bring my uncle's life back. As if that will heal the pain and heartache you caused the entire family. As if that will bring mummy(his wife's) husband back to her etc. You were drunk and then you drove. Not only that you ran away from the scene immediately the accident happened.
See I know no matter the sentence you get Dr cannnot be brought back to life but just so you know...you caused my family alot. A whole lot. May God forgive all your sins and I hope you have stopped drinking and clubbing.

ReplyDeleteGod bless u for being honest. We wouldn't say the same if it were an ordinary citizen and the aspersions would have been out of this world. Let her serve her time! I feel for her too anyway.
Delete... and come to think of it., she has a pending court case, were innocent human died, bcos of her dumb mistake, but was so thoughtless in showing off in that party last time..!! Mind ya, she has right party, but maturely!!
