'Your words left me in tears'-Prince Eke's Touching Tribute to President Jonathan

Nollywood's actor Prince Eke's touching message to president Jonathan..
"New Beginning! I was left in tears when i read Presidents Goodlucks congratulatory message to Gen. Buhari I was not crying because i felt like crying, i was not crying cause i supported him and he lost, but i cried cause his words arrested my emotions. He wished his opponent a good administration ahead, he congratulated him and accepted defeat.
I could remember by this time in 2011, Buhari never accepted that he lost, he promised Jonathan that he'l make his administration ungovernable for him and he later fulfilled his promise. His supporters took to the streets and slaughtered innocent Nigerians but he never stopped the killings. But today, he has won that same man that defeated him in 2011 but got a congratulatory message instead of threats.
He has wished him success and not promising him an ungovernable tenure. Few weeks to the election, the people we call our leaders were busy sending threats to themselves and leaving the poor masses gripped with fear. Some people left the country with fear of the aftermath of the election. But today you'v restored peace by accepting defeat peacefully.
Oh! Jonathan, you've shown us that you'r a good man. You'v shown African leaders the true definition of democracy. You wished not to influence the elections with your powers, you wished not to cancel the election when you can do it and nothing will happen. Posterity will never forget you where ever you go.
I am still your fan for life. You'r a good and gentleman but surrounded by ingrates and fools that care for their pockets alone. Oh Jona! You lost the election but won my heart"

    1. Honestly, these are the heroes

» GEJ- conceeding defeat and shows a true statesmanship and sportsmanship.

»GMB- for his resilience and doggedness. Winner never quits that is what his victory denotes after three unsuccessful attempts, must be a lesson to the world.

»Jega- for conducting a transparent election. His composure and never under duress or undue pressure during collation of results are admirable and worth emulating.

  11. Prince Eke, what an interesting piece here, but i am 100% in disagreement with your statement that ''...he promised Jonathan that he'l make his administration ungovernable for him and he later fulfilled his promise...'' it was It was a PDP politician, Alhaji Lawal Kaita who actually said Nigeria would be ungovernable if Jonathan became president in 2011. [Still a PDP G’master]

It was Jonathan’s media spokesman, Reuben Abati who sat down and largely concocted the slanderous libel against Buhari’s name in April 2011.

General Muhammadu Buhari took Reuben Abati to court for damaging his name.

The Jonathan Presidency begged Major General Buhari to settle the case with Reuben Abati and the Guardian out of court.

General Buhari obliged and settled out of court. Reuben Abati with The Guardian published an unreserved apology to Buhari in the Guardian of 11th July, 2013.

Statements like this only stares up hatred, violence and division amongst us especially when they are not true.

Please sir, before you publish any article next time, confirm they are not false messages.

  12. Its so bad that now in Nigeria, doing the right thing is a big deal, non of them have done nothing spectacular , the all have done what the needed to do, what matters most is what the do while in power to the betterment of the people and country at large. we should begin to judge our so called presidents by the progress of the country during there tenure, and for me GEJ as done nothing, if Buhari ass does not seat tight and buckle up for the task at hand he will be booted out , lets us learn to put our trust and hope in GOD and not man.

    1. You must be a serious ignorant to say he has done nothing. That obviously shows that you no nothing. First of all I'd like to remind you that when one holds power, there is a lot he can do with it. If he had decided to rig himself in, there is nothing anyone would have done about it. If he had decided to remove Jegga their is nothing anyone would have done except to rant and criticise and shout. You no nothing about governance and it's intrigues. Even President Bush used his incumbency power to sway things his way when it became obvious his opponent was having the day. So my dear, get informed. Don't take for granted what he did. You possibly may not be able to do it were you to be in his shoes.

  20. Prince Eke hit the nail on the head. Funny how nigerians have short memories.

The same Buhari promised to make the country ungovernable in 2011.
The same Buhari was nominated as a mediator in 2012 by Boko Haram

Now he is supposed to be the messiah that will fix a problem he created. I love Nigeria!!
