Bomb blast after Jonathan’s presidential rally in Gombe

A blast ripped through a car park outside a stadium where  President Goodluck Jonathan had addressed a re-election campaign rally on Monday, minutes after he left, witnesses said.
Mohammed Bolari, who was at the rally in Gombe, said the explosion happened at 3:10 pm  just three minutes after Jonathan’s departure.
A local reporter added:
The president had just passed the parking lot and we were trailing behind his convoy when the explosion happened… just 100 metres (yards) from the bus we were driving in.”
Three people has been reported dead and 18 others injured.

    Pls let me tell u all something! I pray u all read this with an open mind! These muslim northerners are very wicked people! They feel that it is their right to rule so they have sworn to make jonathan's government ungovernable, thereby making him look incompetent! i am not holding forth for Jonathan, but what these people are doing is blackmail! They are doing all these bombing and playing on people's psych! the hostility became evident when Yar'adua died, They probably feel that they have not completed their own tenure, so Nigeria will boil! Yes I agree, jonathan is way too soft, but honestly i fell he's far better than Buhari! I just hate any form of blackmail and it is even worse now bcos life is involved. let us look at the bigger picture here. Do not give into propaganda and all that crap! Vote with ur conscience! Why do u think ppl feel that Boko-haram insurgency might stop if Buhari wins? The truth is simply that the northern elites sponsoring this group might order a cease fire bcos they achieved their goal, by a northern muslim there! This is Nigeria and Nigeria is for all of us, nobody is born to be Lord over the other person! It is not their right to rule! Ijaw, kanuri, itsekiri, Edo, Biu, Tiv, Yoruba, Igbo,, Hausa and all other tribes have equal right and not just a group of ppl! just bcos u dont have ur way doesnt mean that the country should boil! i just pray that whosoever God has given this mandate should win irrespective of the intimidation! I just hope i have nt yarned op, sha!
