The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the South-West has urged the investigators of the Synagogue building collapse to treat Pastor T. B. Joshua with dignity and respect.
Sun reports that during a press conference on the state of the nation in Lagos,Archbishop Magnus Adeyemi Atilade, warned against any attempt to use the incident to clamp down on other churches in Lagos by over zealous government officials, who had been harassing churches for building approvals.

“T. B. Joshua is a servant of God and whatever happens, he deserves some respect and dignity, because he could not have wished anything bad for his church members.
“Nobody is saying that the government should not probe the Synagogue incident to prevent future occurrences, but it should not be turned into instrument of vendetta,”
No man of God would wish such for his members. Let God's will be done
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with this Archbishop Magnus on this stand, besides av said it over time TB Joshua never and will have no such intention of killing his church members, anyone who thinks in such direction is surely evil..May God continue to be with you during this trying times..!!!
ReplyDeleteLet investigations be done
ReplyDeleteD truth would unfold in due time...

ReplyDeleteevery mega structure should have an approval as evidence that it's safe to carry out the reason for putting it up, as much as we would try to be calm abt this , this is a wake up call, churches should produce theirs, any structure that was designed to serves hundreds of people daily should have valid proof of safety, its sad cos in these parts of the world people don't take these things seriously until something terrible happens, so pls put respect aside let's do what is right. when we get to church, u can get all the respect u wish for.

ReplyDeleteU r just talking . How many buildings until recent years have approved building plan in Lagos . Why make one man the scapegoat of a systemic problem ??

God knows it all. But he should be treated with respect no matter their reasons
ReplyDeleteOf course he should be treated with respect same way every human being should. But treating him with respect must never derail the course of justice.

I pray he comes out of all dis trials a stronger and better man in God. It is well with him
ReplyDeleteFor sure the man of God did not wish his members or anyone around him dead! I don't know for what reason he missed out on this one because the building regulations are designed to safeguard the health and safety of people in and around building, he had a huge building structure with thousands of people in and out at least somebody maybe one of his advisers should have helped deal with this issue. Then again what do i know........
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Archbishop Magnus, million times!
