Its Embarrasing how Nigerian Soldiers Flee From Boko Haram-Sultan of Sokoto

Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has questioned why the Nigerian army flees from Boko Haram .According to the Nigeriam Tribune, addressing a press conference in Kaduna, on Sunday, Secretary-General of JNI, Dr Khalid Abubakar read a statement on his behalf.

“Nigeria’s sovereignty has been threatened as a so-called ‘Islamic Caliphate’ has been curved out by the insurgents. An unfortunate, worrisome and embarrassing dimension has recently been added to the scenarios - that of the way soldiers take to their heels and abandon their bases, arms, ammunition and other military hardware on the approach of the insurgents.

“It is sad and an unfortunate fact that Nigerian security forces only surface after the deadly attacks and terrorise an already terrorised people by installing roadblocks and searching homes and business premises.
“Thousands of innocent citizens have lost their lives. Thousands have been abducted, the males forced into insurgency and the females into slavery.
Thousands more are wallowing in internally displaced persons camps in Nigeria and in refugee camps in neighbouring countries. Trillions of Naira worth of infrastructure and public and private properties have been destroyed.
“In the light of all these distasteful developments, JNI is forced to ask the following questions:- Where withered the Nigerian Army of the 1967-69 civil war? Where are the heroes of international peacekeepings? When will the government bring an end to this scourge?

Does the government really have the capability, capacity, commitment and sincerity to bring an end to this insurgency and the multifarious security challenges facing the nation? “
As has been done painfully in previous cases, JNI President-General and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, on behalf of Nigerian Muslims, condemns these unabated acts of terror being unleashed on innocent citizens and calls for concerted introspection and sincere commitment by government to address this pernicious problem,”

  1. The question is "what has the government done for the families of the few soldiers we lost to Boko Haram"? True, they shouldn't flee but they are humans...

  3. Let him talk because he get mouth! As if he wasn't gonna run, who knows? Those soldiers value their lives more, and they know the government is actually doing nothing as the president is busy announcing that "there;s no big deal, nothing is happening" and so why should they kill themselves? They are also human abeg, liv them.....i'd do the same too!

  4. Points well driven home and quite clear. But my on question remains, these scroundrels were people that you people watched grow up, why haven't you people gone the extra mile to curtail them? It's still with the peripheral of the northerners to bring these beasts to order. Why won't the soldiers flee where those beasts are armed to the teeth more than them. Until the notherners take a stand am afraid this situation will remain the same.. God bless Nigeria...!!!

  10. Mr Sultan, this is an easy thing. Send your kids to fight Boko Haram and see if they don't flee. You people created those monsters who live on human blood. Now they are more than you can handle, you are calling poor soldiers. Once you die for this country, your family is on their own. Rubbish
