The Chairman of Nigerian Medical Association,Lagos State chapter Dr. Tope Ojo, disclosed that the matron of the hospital where the Liberian Ebola victim, Patrick Sawyer, was admitted is now showing signs of the virus.
She was one of the several health workers who attended to him prior to his demise on July 25th. He said

But everybody, including the experts from the World Health Organisation, are doing all they can.Strike or no strike, we must respond to emergencies. Our doctors are at the Yaba hospital where isolated contacts are being monitored.”

ReplyDeleteEbola is now officially in Lagos. That matron would have gone home, touched her husband or children, who have touched others or entered a car with others. They can't trace everybody and can't say Lagos has only 2 cases. The doctor and other health workers have been in contact with others too
