Help!!! Is it right to collect transport fare from my girlfriend's brother?

Dear emeh
I am an avid reader of your blog and I need advice from Miss petite nigeria house on this issue. I work with a prestigious bank and am ok. I have been dating a girl since january and we are really serious, I have introduced her to my parent nd I knw hers too most especially her mom nd sister, last weekend she took me to her brother's house for introduction, when leaving her brother gave me transport fare in an envelope which I politely rejected( don't knw hw much in d envelop sha). The brother took no harm with the expression on his face. For 3days after the visit my babe condemned me for not collecting the cash from his brother tho its been settled but next weekend we are visiting another brother's house, if am given transport fare again, should I collect?
Please re broadcast to the MP house. Thanks emeh

  2. Don't collect, she better comes to terms with what you want as a man and not push you to be collecting money from her people. If you start collecting things from her people your respect and ego automatically will start going down.

    O.C says so

  3. Transport fare at what age? My Advice is not to collect if u want respect. Same thing happened to me... I went to see an aunt who came into town, when I was leaving she gave me £50. Now that's what she used to do when I was a kid, but now am married with 2 kids and I have a good job so does my husband and she knows where we both work, I just didn't understand why she felt the need to give me cash. So since I couldn't say no, I used the £50 to buy chocolate and asked her to give the kids when she gets home.

  8. Pls oh,don't collect,u are a man abt to get married to their sister,u are suppose to be d one giving dem nt d other way round, and I feel there is sometin behind it,d moment u start collecting money frm dem,u become their slave and dey will use dat against u in time to come,on d other part,if it is wen u are preparing to marry d sister dey decided to help it's okay, but for dis one don"t oh,u are a man and u hav to stand by ur words, and it might be dat dey are even testing u as d kind of man dat u are,so be wise and don't collect

  12. Nigerians and their wack mentality......where in anyway was it stated or written when you collect money from your brother in-law immediately you become their slave or thier errand boy........you guys should consider the fact that sometimes somepeople are so blessed and their intent is to give out freely without no bad intentions attached....the point here is for the boy to maximise and limit the way he collects money from any of the girls relatives or relations....you reject some and you collect some...but in the sense that, the rejecting supersedes the the collecting most times...,guys we all know how things are tight in this country.... letz just speculate or assume the money in the envelope was a 100k..who on earth would wana reject such an amount.....you guys think now

  13. You don't know what it means to collect cash from someone!! It's better he sends you a private jet to drop you at home or even buy gifts. Why would you collect what you have? IF THE BOY CANT AFFORD TRANSPORT, THATS A DIFFERENT ISSUE. ITS A CLEAR PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION AND THE BOY SHOULD RESIST AT ALL COST.

  14. NO NO NO NO NO NOMNO NO NO NO NO NO NO NON NO .. DONT DO THAT,!.!!! ITS WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. IF YOU NEED CASH, YOU CAN GO TO THEM AND BORROW BUT NEVER COLLECT PEANUST IN THE NAME OF TRANSPORT, THATS BULL CRAP. ITS SELLING YOUR SELF ESTEEM. THOSE MEN HAVE A WAY OF SIZING SOMEONE. NEXT YOU WILL HEAR IF YOU COLLECT TH MONEY IS THQT THEY DONT LIKE YOU, THEY WILL SAY YOU ARE A WEAK MAN. NEXT THEY WILL START SENDING YOU ON ERRENDS.. STAND FOR YOUR SELF ESTEEM BOY,! If you don't have tp, borrow from your friends.

  15. DON'T GIVE IT A SECOND THOUGHT, YOU DON'T GIVE OUT TRANSPORT TOKEN TO ABOUT TO WEDS... WHAT FOR ARE YOU GUYS COMING FROM ANGOLA OR SOME DISTANT COUNTRY? IT CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING AT A TIME! YOUR INTEGRITY IS BEING PUT TO THE TEST... YOU ARE CERTAINLY GOING TO GET TO ANOTHER HURDLE WHEN NEXT YOU VISIT ANOTHER RELATIVE OF HERS... SIT UP MAN AND BRACE YOURSELF IT'S THERE SISTER YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED TO...... THEY EXPECT TO SEE A MAN AND NOT A BOY....
