Faces of 3 dead Islamic clerics appear in Ikorodu mosque(Photos)

Barely a year after a child was reportedly born with a copy of the Holy Quran in Lagos and another born with an Islamic rosary, (Tesbah) in Sagamu, Ogun State. Last Tuesday, another amazing event occurred at Owode Onirin, Ikorodu, Lagos; as images of some clerics who died decades ago were believed to have made sudden appearances on the walls of Dawiz Central Mosque in the area.

When Vanguard visited the mosque, thousands of people and passers-by storm the mosque to have a glimpse.

The images were identified as that of late Sheikh Ahmada Tijani, (Algeria) Sheikh Ibraheem Niass, (Senegal) Sheikh Jamiu Bulala (Nigeria).

Although the images were not clear as at the time Vanguard visited, but those who spoke to Vanguard said the images were clearer on Tuesday when they were first noticed.

According to Eye-witness: “The images were noticed on Tuesday September 3, on the walls of the mosque which was constructed a few months ago and owned by Sheikh Musa Alegbeleye.”

It was gathered that four months ago, the image of Sheikh Jamiu Bulala Islamic Cleric, who had died two decades ago appeared first faintly to the consternation of Muslim faithful and they decided never to make it public to creat any doubt.

The strange occurence has turned the serene Owode Onirin area into a Makkah of sorts as people thronged the area not only to see but to also offer some prayers. Right inside the mosque, people were seen holding bottles/satchets of water muttering prayers and shouting Allahu Akbar (God is great). Some were even seen bowing to the image

Efforts to speak with the founder of the group and leader of the mosque, Sheikh Alegbeleye, was futile, as we were told he was sleeping after observing several vigil prayers.

Speaking on the development and an eye-witness, the President of Islamic society of Nigeria, Lagos State Mukadam Alhaji Samodu Onikoyi confirmed the appearance of the images.
“We started noticing a very faint image which came with intermittent brightness on the inside wall of the mosque which were replica of the portrait of Sheikh Ibrahim Niass, Sheikh Jamiu Bulala and Sheikh Ahmaa Tijani engraved on the walls of the building.”

How it Happened:
“A member of the mosque Alhaja Idayatu Idera Afolabi first noticed it and she rushed out to inform everybody and when we saw it, we decided to cover it, because we thought if we announce it, people will think it is ruse that one is trying to play on their intelligence.  But when I also saw it, I was greatly terrified, wondering how such thing could have happened My thought was that the image would eventually disappeared but on the second day, it brightened more and started showing on all sides of the building which made us to still cover it untill it became public“.
An eye-witness also disclosed that attempt was made by some individuals to wash off the images but to no avail; adding that the more they try to rub it off, the more the images become clearer.
Also, one Mrs Idayatu Afolabi said:
“When we saw that the image, it was a strange thing, I told my husband to inform those that know better than us, it was then we called on the Imam who told us not to announce it until now that the images decided to brighten up on the wall of the mosque building “.
The shout of “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great) rented the air as hundreds of people continue to find their ways to the the Mosque in Owode Onirin to have a glimpse
Non-Muslims’ comment
I don’t believe it — Mrs Oluranti Jonson
For me, that image is not real and it’s an evil imagination. Because the Bible says Jesus will come down with the Holy Saints and Prophet at the last day. And I will advice those clerics to stop deceiving people because I don’t understand what that means and I have not seen such before.

It’s a sign of end time — Mr Mike Nwoha
This is unbelievable, although as a Christian, I’m not trying to say this is evil but to them they believe; it’s a sign of end time and some of them said it is stated in the Koran. So, I cannot judge, only God knows the truth about it. All I can say is that we are all serving the living God, there should not be anything like the Muslims are idol worshipers but to me this is a sign of end time. So, people should mend their ways

  5. Not at all surprised at the reaction of the people. Nigerians are the most religious people on the face of the earth. Just watched the debate on early child marriage btw senator yerima and stella damascus on the stream. And that debate centered on religious matters and the naija society. Mehn, what an argument. When two or three nigerians are gathered, to discuss sensitive issues, it most def will result in a heated shouting contest. Stella damascus really debated the issue well. Kudos to her. Nigeria is meant to be a secular state but religion many times takes over our thinking. That we impose our religious views on others who dont share the same religion as ours. We forget that we are a multi religious/multi ethnic society. Nigeria is predominantly made up of traditionalists, moslems and christians. No one religion is greater than the other. Even on your blog emeh, some pips when making comments, tend to push morals of their religion unto others. They see the world only through the eyes of their religion. Their way is right and others are wrong. This is wrong. God deliberately made diversity. The zebra is not a horse. Nor a dolphin a shark. Each has its own purpose. Senator yerima made one scary point that the nigerian constitution cant legislate, on matters of the islamic faith and customary law. He cited sections of the nigerian constitution where this is found. This is scary cause what that means is that in matters of islamic laws the nigerian constitution has no say. Hence the whole child marriage wahala is a non issue going by the provisions of this section. I thot that the nigerian constitution was the most supreme law of the nigerian land. Im confused to say the least. That really makes the nigerian constitution some what weak. Dont understand that section at all. If u have a section of the nigerian constitution, saying in matters of islamic faith, no other legislation in nigeria can overide islamic principles. It makes the argument against girl marriage some what difficult. It was really an interesting and eye opening debate. I learnt a lot.

    2. well i believe a lot of people are writing comments out of context .what this should be all about should be the picture that appeared on the wall, not Nigerian constitution, teenage marriage/child marriage, or some people arguing and condemning outrightly without concrete argument. the issue at hand is " THOSE PICTURES THAT APPEARED ON THE WALL" and not petty sentiments. questions we should asking is were they fake , human handiwork ,or as claimed by about thousand eyewitness a mysterious natural occurrence.over the years we black people had proved time over again that we judge and act less on fact, intellect and more on emotions, sentiment, prejudice, and hatred for a group ,organization, tribe ,religion, etc. this created that loopholes which the western world used in penetrating our society, hence the continuous exploitation ,the ever growing hatred we have for ourselves ,the differences, the looting ,the underdevelopment, the poverty, the hardship, and all the unspeakable and unquantifiable horrors in our part of the world. BACK TO PICTURES! the press was there! over a thousand people was there to see the "wonder". was it really a wonder? if it was in the west those pictures will be put through a litmus test to ascertain authenticity. how many of us had open minded studied Judaism,Christianity,Buddhism,Islam ,Hinduism, and other religions of the world i dont mean what had been feed to you by the media ,an organization ,government or what was taught you by people prejudiced? well if we all study all this religion with open mind and have a bath in aqua of sincerity we'll all come to agree that they are all true religions in their original form until their founder departed and Satan with the aid of human element decided to play gymnastic with most of them. you can only learn about all this religions by laying your hands on their true literation unanimously accepted as a book of authority not even how the adherents of the faith practice them. you discover that the prophets or founder of those faiths are from the same source because all those religion are originally monotheistic ,offering faith to one true God and non of their founders ever asked their people to be worshiped nor claim to be the one true God. if you truly want to know ,those pictures are pictures of saints of the Muslim faith and the significance of those picture is that its a sign from God ,that truly the faith of Islam is a faith he is well pleased with no matter how much the secret societies of the world with their media try to demonise it. thats the messiah that those religions predicted will come at the end of time to liberate mankind from tyranny of Babylon the great ,that Islam as predicted by seers of the past will rule the world no matter how the wicked liars hate it,that the will of the father shall be done on earth as its done in heaven, that the prince of the world shall be reprooved along with the wicked sinners ,that the great lie called Demon-cracy and capitalism along side with those fraudsters thats deceives even the elect shall fail in all their splendor and glory, that Africa is the chief cornerstone rejected by the builders ,thats he whom the world await for its salvation is not a white man or an Arab or a Jew as you have been brainwashed to believe as God is a doer of what he wills and he choses whomever he wills of his creature for his message but a Nigerian from a Town called Ilorin and his name is Ahmad Hassan Zarruk ,he his that cleric in the picture you see clearly with glasses on and not Ibrahim Nyasa as widely believed. for me and those from ilorin we already know because the sheik had said that amongs the sign that God had appointed him is that he'll speak from the wall after he's gone, that he'll come back for the Grand finale at Gods appointed time which is nless than 15 years to this time. i have a recorded audio evidence of all this .
