Forbes ranks Nigeria: 20th saddest country in the world


I thought we were happy people? Forbes thinks otherwise as Nigeria has been ranked  as the 20th saddest country to live in the world.

"The best of the worst, Nigeria ranks 123rd overall on the Legatum Prosperity Index. Decades of corruption have squandered great oil and gas wealth, while new concerns involve sectarian violence.

  7. We should not hold up our hands in the air with the feeling of hopelessness. It is not everyone of us who will be 'lucky' to get a visa out of this country. Even if we do, there will always be an aunty, a cousin, or brother who will still be living in Nigeria.
    I as a person refuse to agree that Nigeria is a sad place to live in. Let's learn to believe in the positive and confess the positive at all times. I may be seen as overly optimistic but I prefer that to being negative.
    I live in Nigeria and I believe Nigeria will be better

    but I swear Emeh we shud be first on that list .
    Aint nothing working in that country except for Calabar carnival.

  9. Me and my family will not be sad this year. Anyone is free is to believe anything, but I exempt myself from the list of miserable people.
    Besides, why is almost the whole of west Africa on that stupid list? In Africa, we may not have everything but we are mostly contented and happy, this explains the lower suicide rate in comparison to the western world.
    I am a Nigerian and I am happy..shikena
