15 Nigerian music acts to watch out for in 2012/2013

I'm so excited about this list. Not only am I a staunch Nigerian music lover.I am a critic as well.So I decided to compile this list and I bet you before the first quarter of 2013,50% of the names here should be household names.
I said 50% because the Nigerian music scene is unpredictable and sometimes,we see those who were tipped as"Most likely to flop"hitting it big.
So this list is a compilation of new/fresh music acts to watch out for.NOTE:They are in no particular order
-Haven't released an official album
Came into the scene in 2011/2012
Trended on twitter/or not
Massive airplay/downloads
Personal opinion(wink)
I have just 14 names here. There is one  spot up for grabs.Just nominate..

DAMMY KRANE
Dammy Krane for the girls.Yes that's his popular slogan. If his smash hit"My dear" is anything to go by,you can safely say he is really for the girls.Dammy Krane is the first act signed on to music Legend,2face's Hperteck music label. You would always hear him say "Hyperteck tins"When his video dropped, tit trended on twitter. He is also Sacekid's(Sinzu)cousin
With an amazing video shot by Clarence Peters Dammy Krane is hip, fresh, talented and the girls love him.

MayD
Mr MayD is one artiste whose story is a mixture of bitter/sweet. Unarguably one of the only Nigerian artistes to be dropped from a top notch record label before officially dropping an album.MayD might not be affected by this as his name has already become a household name.
When he dropped the hit track "Soundtrack",he followed with an international collaboration with Akon on "Chop my money" remix.Just when we thought he could do better,he set all clubs on fire with smash hit "Ille Ijo".
After being dropped by Square Records,he has also featured on hits with Mochedda & fast rising rap act,Lyrikul Assassin

BURNABOY
Where are the girls who love to party? Definitely chilling with Burna Boy. This Portharcort amazing artiste crept in on us like a thief in the night with his smash hit"Like To Party".
This song had been topping radio charts across the country and just when we thought it would fizzle away,he dropped the banging video which is being tipped as the Video of the year.
He brings a fresh and unique vibe to  Nigerian Music.
Even Wizkid, Sinzu(Saucekid)have attested to this on twitter.Wiz tweeted"I fuxx with burnaboy"Whatever that means.
One thing's for sure"The ladies luv him like cray...

LA(Lyrikul Assassin)
Think ambitious, fresh, young and super talented? LA is your guy. This amazing rapper burst into the scene  with his official first single"Ragabomi"featuring amazing vocals from Orezi. Just when we thought the 19year old couldn't do better,he recently dropped another track "FORMABLE"featuring MayD.
His word play is brilliant. He is set to drop his videos this week. The amazing videos were shot by ace director,Clarence Peters.

EVA
I like to call her the queen of cool.Eva's rap style is refreshing to the ears.Collaborating with various artistes, she recently dropped a smash hit"HIGH" which is receiving massive airplay allover local and international stations.
She also bagged a Headies nomination in the Next rated category

RAYCE
Rayce took over the scene with his smash hit"Ragabo".Since then he has warmed his way into the hearts of Nigerians as there is no party without a Rayce song on the track list.He followed up with another hit"Tested Ok"His style is rather soft and pleasant to the ears
From his two tracks its safe to say this is one artiste whose album music lovers are looking forward to.
PAPI (Fine boy drama)
What is better than a talented and confident young man? This fine boy burst into the scene with his addictive jam"Fine boy drama".You are guaranteed to move your feet. With catchy lines such as"When I enter the club i give them Hypertension"Papi is definitely set to have a lot of hearts racing .Looking forward to a follow up hit.

PHYNO
Phyno brings freshness to the rap game.Churning out banging tracks like,Multiply” and its remix to “Shutdown” ,he has featured the likes of MI.Most recently,he delivered the catchy chorus on IllBliss‘s hit, “Anam Achikwanu”.
His latest personal effort is a dance floor ready tune, “Can’t You See”.

TIPSY
Tipsy fills the space missing in the female rap industry. The London based artiste is signed to JJC's Big Boy Ent. She is often referred to as the Female Dagrin because of her fluent rap delivery in Yoruba Language and she has got the street attitude working for her.
Her recent hit "Emi no ni"is b;lazing charts across the country. She also gave a perfect rendition to Dagrin's pon pon pon hit.
Watchout,Tipsy is here to stay

SiIMPLY SIMPLE
When he got introduced to the scene with Butterfly,I thought that was it.He proved the 2nd time's a charm when he found his footing and introduced us to a unique style with a beautifully written and sung"OMODE".
Think of an 80's bar, cigarette smoke and Jazz music? Simply Simple is it.The charmer is,he sings in Yoruba.Talk about being patriotic.
He is signed to Bay Productions and is one artiste to definitely watch out for.

FLOWSICK
There is definitely nothing low key about Flowsick .It is public knowledge that he is tipped off as the next big thing.Doubt it,his recent nominations at the HEADIES next rated category proves it.
With his smash hit Low Key,this is one artiste whose star power is anything but low key

DONNA DIVA
She is not just your ordinary female musician. She is hailed as Nigeria's first female producer. She burst into the scene with her hit"Shut up" which is receiving massive airplay all over terrestrial radio/TV stations .With a brilliant video to match, I've got my eyes on her next release.Till then, haters, just shut up

PHENOM
amazing rapper phemon dropped his smash hit, omonaija which has recieved massive airplay in naija and beyond
TAYO
This is one artiste whose music I bet my dimple on.Tayo is not just a fantastic singer/composer but a brilliant producer. He is responsible for Olu Mantain's comeback hit"NAUWTI" .With vocals that would give John Legend a run for his money,Tayo
Signed to Urban Touch Ent, he is set for release locally and internationally soon
For those who aren't convinced, listen to snippets from his forth coming album (yes he's that good).

Do you guys agree with this list?Is there an artiste I missed out on?Remember there are two spots up for grabs..merci beacoup
