The 41-year-old man said a medical result he would get on Thursday (tomorrow) would determine whether he would see clearly again with his left eye or not.

N5m falls off moving bullion van in Lagos(Photo)

Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit (Task Force) has recovered N5 million that fell off a bullion van on Lagos State House of Assembly Complex, Alausa, Ikeja.
 The money is said to have been lost around November and December 2015.

Mr Taofik Adebayo, the Task Force Chairman, Olayinka Egbeyemi, disclosed that two police officers attached to the agency recovered the money.

A young mother and her two-year-old son were pulled from Lake Michigan on Monday in what police say was a suicide attempt.
 According to Fox news, police say the woman, 21, went into the water with her baby in her arms near the McKinley Marina on Monday afternoon.

Witnesses told police it appeared she was trying to drown herself and the child. The family has not yet been identified. The mother died at a hospital but the child was saved.

Proprietor bags 10- year jail term for raping 10- year-old girl in Ekiti

An Ado-Ekiti High Court on Tuesday sentenced a school proprietor, Ibitoye Babatunde to 10 years imprisonment for raping a 10-year-old girl. 

 

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the convict is the proprietor of God is Great Nursery and Primary school, Ado-Ekiti.

 

 In his judgment, Justice Mosun Abodunde said that the prosecution had established case of rape beyond reasonable doubt. She described the convict as a pathological liar, randy, shameless adult who is a danger to girl-child around him, including his own female children.

Egypt Air hijacker arrested ,see photos of him

The hijacker of an Egypt air plane this morning has been arrested and is now in police custody, according to the Cypriot foreign ministry crisis center.

He has been identified as Seif Eldin Mustafa, a professor of veterinary medicine at Alexandria and according to reports, he was not a terrorist but love -sick man who wanted the attention of his ex-wife.
 Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades said the hijacking was not motivated by terrorism, but for personal reasons. When asked if a woman was involved, Anastasiades said, “There is always a woman involved.”

The hijacker had demanded a letter be delivered to his ex-wife.She was brought to the airport where the letter was handed to her..Contents have not been made public yet.

A 25-year-old model was found dead at her house in South Delhi.Priyanka Kapoor, who had an event management company of her own, was found hanging with the ceiling fan in a room at house on Saturday. The room was locked from inside.Police found a two-page note believed to have been written by the woman before her death, a police official said.

She got married to businessman Nitin Chawala in January.He was arrested and is suspected of having put pressure on her to get her family to pay him a larger dowry
