The police in Ogun yesterday said a Chinese, Lee Qiang, kidnapped on Monday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has been rescued.

Qiang was kidnapped by six armed men around 5pm at Ogere while he was on his way to Abeokuta, the state  capital.

10 dead in South African taxi boss attack

At least 10 people were killed in a shooting and minibus crash in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province on Tuesday, the African News Agency reported.

The deputy chief of a minibus taxi association and four of his bodyguards were shot dead in their car by unidentified gunmen at an intersection, police said.

Mother arrested for having sex with daughter's teenage boyfriend

A Texas mother was arrested after police say she confessed to having sex with her daughter's teenage boyfriend.

The boy's mother called the Pharr Police Department in August to report that her son had sex with his girlfriend's mother, 44-year-old Claudia Yaneth Lopez, according to KGBT.

The mother said she went through her son's phone and found suggestive text messages between the teen and Lopez.

Presidency responds to calls for the prosecution of Babachir Lawal and Amb. Oke
